World Vision through World Bicycle Relief and the Ministry of education supports education of students in the school  through a Bicycle Education Empowerment Programme (BEEP). The sponsorship programme started in the year 2015 as follows.

POSITIVE EFFECT OF THE BUFFALO BICYCLES – IN THE SCHOOL 

  1. Improved attendance to school – reduced absenteeism
  2. Reduced cases of late arrival to school in the morning and arrival at home on time
  3. Improved retention of students in school –there is reduced rate of drop out and transfers to other schools.
  4. Improved payment of school fees – most parents pay school fees on time
  5. Increased number of students admitted at in form one.

  1. Increased P.T.A and Board of Management (B.O.M) financial support on the school projects such as

a)    A class room constructed in term 3 of 2016 to accommodate more for 1 student expected in 2017.

b)    Constriction of a pig sty.

  1. Increased number of students qualifying to get Government sponsorship through direct university entry.

POSITIVE EFFECT OF THE BUFFALO BICYCLES TO THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND PARENTS 

 

  1. Two mechanics – given skills/ trained on buffalo bicycle repair. Offering them a life long opportunity to earn a living. Thanks to the buffalo bicycle donors because all the buffalo bicycles are directed to them for repair
  2. The living standards of most of parents have improved. Mast of them us buffalo bicycles to carry farm produce to the markets – items such as bananas, sweet potatoes, cassava, charcoal, ground nuts etc.
